Tuesday by David Wiesner
‘Tuesday’ is a short, fiction picture book with very little writing. In this book, you’re following some frogs on an adventure. When you’re reading ‘Tuesday’, you need to pay close attention to the details.
Looking at the pictures, you need to use your imagination and think about what’s happening. The events in the book are abnormal and are a little funny.
‘Tuesday’ is an okay book. It’s not a fabulous book, but it’s not a horrible book either. I’d recommend ‘Tuesday’ for all ages.

I definitely agree with you when you said "You have to pay close attention to the details". You really do have to pay close attention to the details in this book because it's the details that really give you the information that you need to know. Tuesday
By:David Weisner
The book “Tuesday” is about what happens every Tuesday around 8 o'clock. It doesn't seem like much at first but soon enough frogs fly.The people that do see them think they are going insane. Next Tuesday...Well let me just say when pigs fly! My favorite part of this book is when all of the frogs start watching tv when the old lady is asleep. I do recommend this book from ages 5-12. I think that Tuesday by David Weisner is very interesting. It looks like the author worked more on the pictures than the words.I liked this book because the pictures tell the story and the words just support them.I loved this book!

I Recommend the Book Tuesday
I recommend the book Tuesday by David Wieser it’s great because the pictures tell the story. The book also lets you use your imagination. In the book the frogs on the lily pads start to fly around at night. They fly around the village will they ever get back to the pond? My favorite picture in the book is when the frogs scare the birds. It’s my favorite picture because it reminds me of when my brothers scared the birds in the summer time. I hope that you like this book as much as I do.

Title: Tuesday
By: David Wiesner
This is a picture book. If you don’t like picture books this book is not for you. Here is what basically happens in the book: Every Tuesday evening around 8 p.m. some animal gets the ability to fly around and explore. They lose their ability to fly in the morning. My favorite quotable is: it’s actually a picture because there aren’t that many words in the story. It’s where the pigs are flying! Actually flying! It’s funny because pigs don’t actually fly its just what people say as an expression. I would recommend this book to people that like to use their imagination. Because Tuesday is actually an excellent book!

TUESDAY a picture book by David Wiesner
Tuesday is almost completely made up by images. Around 8P.M. lily pads with frogs on them start flying. I didn't think that was possible. The lily pads flew around all night. My favourite image in the book is at the beginning when the frog starts to fly and he has no clue what is going on. I rate this book an ok book. Personally I do not like books with nearly no images. I prefer books with mostly words. Sometimes images are not clear so you might not understand the drawings. Like in the book there is an image with a dog and I did not know if the dog was barking at the frog or not because there were no word so I did not know what was going on. Will you read this book?

They could fly on lily pads then they fly across the sky .Then stop flying in the morning.

Book title: Tuesday
Author: David Wiesner
This book is a fiction picture book.
Recommendation: I rate this excellent because it is very creative. And the author has a very big imagination.
Sumarry: This book is about every Tuesday a random animal has the ability to fly after eight p.m. and explore but in the morning they lose the ability to fly. (ex. At the start an army of frogs start randomly start flying around the city but they lose the ability to fly in the morning and have to walk back to where they started.)

Tuesday by David Weisner
The book Tuesday is about a rugular Tuesday but at around 8:00 o'clock in the evening, everything changes. Frogs start flying on lilypads? In the morning at 6:00 they suddenly fell from the sky! Next Tuesday, something else happens...This book reminds me of something I read about raining frogs getting picked up from ponds and that's exactly what happens in the story but on Tuesday. This book is a picture book and its fiction which means there are only pictures but very few words.I think you'll love this book if you like mysteries!

An Extra weird TUESDAY
By David Wiesner
This review is about the funniest and weirdest book ever, Tuesday! It’s a picture and fiction book and it’s unlike any book I have ever read. I really enjoyed reading this book because it is really funny and because I don’t actually have to read! It is a really good book for readers of all ages and if your not much of a reader you will love this book because it has almost no words and is really funny! But if you want to understand the book you have to look at every page very carefully. In the book, on Tuesday night something very strange and weird happens. Frogs are flying in the sky on lily pads! The frogs are sailing through people’s backyards, across windows, and even watching TV in houses! Never has this happened before! One of my favourite pictures, and the funniest one (in my opinion) is a picture of a man eating a sandwich and drinking milk while staring out the window at flying frogs with a very strange expression on his face. If you want to know what happens next Tuesday, read this book!

The book "Tuesday" is like it is from a whole different world. There's a saying "A picture is worth a thousand words". Like in this book each picture is telling it's own story. The book is about, at 8 P.M. on Tuesday something magical happens. Frogs start flying! And at 11:21 P.M. a man sees the frogs looking suprised! Then at 4:38 A.M all the frogs start falling down from the sky. Next Tuesday . . . Read the book to find out what happens . This book is similar to this movie I watched "Night at The Museum". Tuesday is When Frogs Fly
"Tuesday" is a great book. It's written by David Weisner and it's a picture book .(More pictures than words.) Ever heard of "When Pigs Fly"? Well, in "Tuesday", At around 8:00 in the evening, one of the frogs fly! At first, he's really surprised. Then, all the other frogs Start to fly and have lots of fun doing odd things. (For example, watching TV or chasing dogs) On Wednesday, they all fell down to the ground and hop back to the pond as if nothing had ever happened. My favourite scene was when the "army" of frogs cased the dog. I'd recommend this book to kids from 18 months-11 years of age. I think that this book is so great because it's like absolutely nothing like anything real.

Tuesday
By: David Wiesner
Tuesday is a fictional picture book. In this book the story begins at eight o’clock at night on a Tuesday with toads on their lily pads. Suddenly toads are flying in the air on their lily pads! The flying toads invade a town. The toads go into people’s houses to watch TV, watch them eat, fly into clothes lines and play with a dog. In this book my favourite picture is when the dog chases the toads but then the toads chase the dog. I recommend this book to people who like just pictures and can use their imagination. This book has a few words but a big story to tell. This made me laugh. Have you ever seen flying toads?

Here is my idea for a closing sentence: Haven't you seen toads fly? It would be sarcastic and funny and judging on how my classmates laughed at the book Tuesday they really like a little joke. Please get back to me, I would love to know if you like my suggestion on your closing sentence.
P.S. I still really like your post, like I said before "written like a true professional".

Tuesday by David Wiesner
This book is just about some regular Tuesday with frogs but then the frogs start to fly and they visit a few places like outside a man's house and inside an old lady's house. This book is a picture book. My favourite picture from the book was when the man saw the frogs flying outside his house. This book is good because it was quite funny and I recommend this book for people who don't like reading words but if you do like to read books with words, this is not the book for you.

Your blog post was awesome! You didn't have any spelling mistakes. Also you didn't give away the ending. Why do you think the frogs were flying?

Tuesday
By:David Wiesner
At about eight o'clock pm on Tuesday night, frogs sitting on lily pads in a pond mysteriously start flying around town. My favourite part of this book was when the frogs were watching television. that scene reminded me of my dad because there was an old lady asleep in front of the television and my dad sometimes falls asleep in front of the television. This is an awesome book you should read this.
p.s I had to type this twice because I accidentally unselected the text so when I pressed Backspace it went to the home page and then the Google search page

Tuesday by David Weisner
On Tuesday night around eight the frogs were sleeping on their lily pads but one of them woke up and that's because he was floating and didn't feel comfortable and then he and the other ones flew away. They flew by a man, a dog, and an old lady and also got blindfolded by some sheets, too. My favourite scene from the book was when the man was eating his sandwich and looking out the window to see the flying frogs at 11:21 P.M. I recommend this book for ages 4 to 12. I could see that this book is a picture book because there is only 4 pages with words on it. This book is a great book because the author, David Weisner, has lots of imagination because he is the only author I know who uses pictures instead of words.

Tuesday
By David Wiesner
This book is excellent, because it has many funny pictures and, it has great details in the pictures. This book is about a bunch of toads going on an adventure, into a neighbourhood. But how? Well they flew on lily pads and, I think the lily pads are like flying carpets. The magic happens every Tuesday night, but it’s different each time. What will be next Tuesday and what will the toads do in a neighbourhood?
My favorite picture from the book is when they got back from the pond, and one of the toad wished he were still flying, or maybe something else.
I recommend this book to whoever, has a great sense of humor because, it’s really funny and great!

Tuesday
By: David Weisner
The book Tuesday is a fictional story but also a true picture book. I really do mean this because there are literally no words except for a few dates and times.
Tuesday is a short book. In the story some animals do some very strange things such as flying. Things that animals would never do in real life.
The pictures in this story are very important, although quite weird. Since the illustrations are awkward it makes them very funny. If you’re going to read this book, get ready for some not-so serious pictures
In my opinion I didn't really enjoy the book Tuesday that much. I wasn't able to relate to the book and I like books that give you a little more information than just the day and time.
I recommend this book to a young audience. But if you by any chance do read this book, get ready to use your imagination!
I liked how your post was nice and long but why did you not like the
book?

Hi Caitlin, your welcome for the comment on your post. Thank you for the compliment on how I didn't give away the ending. For me, not giving away the ending of a book in a book review is very very important. I liked all the pictures but if I had to choose one it would probably be the picture of the man eating the sandwich and then suddenly, he sees the flying frogs!

Tuesday: a hilarious children's book

This book is about toads from a pond. One Tuesday around 8:00 p.m., They were just siting on their lilly pads like what most toads do.
Suddenly, they started to float...just like THAT!!!!! They ended up becoming very mischievous like GOING INTO OLD LADY'S HOUSES AND WATCHING T.V. and making a huge mess around town. But the only question is: what will happen next Tuesday???
My favourite illustration is when a man is eating a sandwich and sees the toads floating on lilly pads out the window, and looks hypnotized.
Tuesday is excellent for kids who love a little giggle at every picture. This book is a great inspiration for kids to have a huge imagination. This book was hilarious!YOU WILL LOVE IT!!!

Do you wonder why the day and time matter in this story?

I think it's because the moon has gravity and the gravity must have made the lily pad and the frogs fly
Maggie
1/20/2014 10:16:54 pm
yeah I do wonder if the day and time are important. If the author wrote them, then maybe they are important.... maybe so we know when they start to fly and when they stop flying.
Caitlin
1/20/2014 10:26:26 pm
Myah I think day time matter because in the story they only flied at night when almost every one was sleeping but in the morning they stopped when every one was awake that might mean some thing.
What do you think?
Serena
1/21/2014 06:51:10 am
Good point Myah. The author didn't write any words except for the day and time so they must be really important. The only problem is I can't think of a really good reason of why the dates and times would be REALLY important. I think everyone else made good points but I don't think that those point are important enough.

Sometimes when people are extremely tired their imaginations can take over and they see things that are not there. In the story when the man was eating his sandwich he saw frogs flying by his window. This part of the story reminded me of what can happen when people get very over tired.
